 By targeting surface antigens expressed on tumor cells, monoclonal antibodies have demonstrated efficacy as cancer therapeutics. Monoclonal antibody drugs can directly act on tumor cells, change body's immune response, deliver drugs and awaken body's immune system to fight cancer. This paper summarizes the therapeutic target, mechanism, representative drugs and new strategies of monoclonal antibodies in cancer therapy.
