Objective To analyze the effect of tetanus specific immunization on the content of circulating immune complex (CIC) in plasma donors by detecting the content of CIC-complement component 3d (C3d) in plasma. Method Plasma donors from Xiajin Taibang plasma collection station and Shanting Taibang plasma collection station in Shandong Province from August 25 to September 4, 2020 were divided into normal group, routine immunization group and intensive immunization group. The plasma CIC-C3d content of plasma donors was detected by CIC-C3d ELISA reagent. Results The concentration of CIC-C3d in plasma donors of the three groups was less than 16 μg/ml. There was no statistically significant difference in CIC-C3d concentration among the three groups (F=1.00, P=0.37). Conclusion Tetanus specific immunization has no significant effect on CIC concentration in plasma donors.
